Today is the day!
Dear Changemakers,
It’s been 10 years of exploring and building. 2.5 years of writing. And now it’s an absolute dream come true that my first book, Becoming a Changemaker, was published today!
I’ve written this book to help folks from all walks of life become changemakers. To help each of us get unstuck, reinspired, and ready to lead positive change from wherever we are.
I believe that changemaking is a team sport. Hands-down the most meaningful part of this journey has been writing this book surrounded by community. I am so, so grateful, and I absolutely could not have done this without you.
If you share my belief that the world needs more changemakers (especially right now), and if you are looking for ways to support and be part of this movement, here are 4 amazing things you can do today:
Order a copy for yourself and/or a favorite changemaker! Amazon and Bookshop.org are great options.
Share on social media (see below for some resources)
Write a review on Amazon. Amazon has an outsized influence on the book world, and reviews make a huge difference in reaching new readers. See below for some talking points.
Let’s talk! Would you like me to speak to your company/community/organization as part of the book tour? Just reply to this email and let’s discuss!
I have the immense privilege of spending my days surrounded, supported, and encouraged by the most incredible community of people (YOU!). I really hope that this book makes you proud, and in the words of author Dan Heath, that it “will be a catalyst for a new generation of leaders committed to changing the world for the better.”
THANK YOU!
All my best,
Alex

Please feel free to say whatever is true to you to make it authentically yours! A few themes you might consider if helpful:
It helps anyone, anywhere become a changemaker.
We all want to lead change, but can often get overwhelmed and feel stuck. This book helps you navigate, shape, and lead positive change for yourself, your teams, and your communities.
Inclusion is the central theme of this book with 50+ case studies showing how changemakers from all walks of life have led positive change.
It’s based on my class at UC Berkeley, which students often call “life changing.”
In a word that can often feel hopeless, this book is an optimistic guide that gives the reader a sense of agency.
It teaches readers how to question the status quo; why humility is a leadership strength; how to influence without formal authority; and how to take those crucial first steps of change.
Write a Review on Amazon:
I know it’s a little weird to ask you to write a review so soon, but if you feel inspired, early reviews (especially from “verified purchasers,” e.g. if you bought the book on Amazon, make a HUGE difference).
If you’re willing, including a selfie of you with the book, or a photo of the book on your nightstand, table, etc. also really helps to include alongside your text.
